Canta y Habla

We all know the benefits of Early Childhood music exposure. And it is also known that learning a second language should ideally begin as early as possible in a child’s life.  How about combining the two?  Join us in our Canta y Habla class using our new curriculum, Somos Amigos, developed by Ann Benson, and learn traditional Spanish songs, as well as a few originals!

These classes are designed for children ages six weeks to five years and are structured similarly to Music Together® classes. An adult caregiver must accompany the children to each class. We will sing, play rhythm instruments, dance with streamers and scarves and of course have lots of fun learning songs in a new language together.

Each family will receive a songbook and CD containing the songs we will sing in the classes. Please note: Both session of Canta y Habla will use the same curriculum, though will use some different songs. Materials only need to be purchased for one session.

Class fee: $150 for 6 weeks
Ages: 6 weeks – 5 years
Class length: 45 minutes

The Armstrong Community Music School has a one-time $30 registration fee per family. This charge covers all of our programs and is valid for an entire household.
