It's never too late to start learning music - whether the student is reaching their teens and has been with us since their days in diapers, or if the student is nearing their "golden years" and is picking up an instrument for the very first time.
Learning an instrument teaches a child how to create, store and retrieve memories more effectively. The brain works at advanced speeds, strengthening hand eye coordination. By understanding beat, rhythm and scales, children are learning how to divide, create fractions and recognize patterns. It engages not only their reading and understanding skills but their listening and teamwork skills as well. Children learning to play an instrument are able to find themselves creatively.
As an adult, learning how to play an instrument is a "brain trainer," a way to challenge your brain in an effort to stay sharper and alert for longer. Not only is it possible for this stronger cognitive function to stave off dementia, but it will also allow you to enjoy a higher quality of life with a more active brain.
Our classes and lessons help students foster their musicianship and self confidence - enabling them to develop their inner musician and engage in the music they love.
