Join us in Canta y Baila Conmigo® this Spring for Arroz con leche!

Join us for an exciting class where music learning goes hand in hand with Spanish immersion.

CyBC classes are perfect for both native speakers and families completely new to Spanish. The structured immersion model introduces Spanish the way a child learns any language: through play and meaningful interactions with the adults they love. Learning happens naturally within an authentic, culturally rich and dynamic musical experience. Take a journey into Spanish language and its cultures through the magical world of music. With Canta y Baila Conmigo® you and your child will be transported as you sing, dance and play along to the irresistible sounds and rhythms of Spanish speaking countries. 

This collection titled “Arroz con leche” (Rice pudding) takes us to a wonderful world of story and adventure. We will sing about friendly animals, about mountains and rivers, and about the sun. We will travel by car and by pirate ship. We will eat salad, oranges, and bananas with rice. We will invite our friends to walk, sing, and dance along to traditional children’s songs (Arroz con leche – Rice pudding), concept songs (Digo sí, digo no – I Say Yes, I Say No), songs to spark the imagination (Mi lindo globito – My Pretty Balloon), folk songs (Cielito lindo – Pretty Darling), dance songs (Mi pollera – My Dancing Skirt), rhymes (El oso goloso – The Gluttonous Bear), and lullabies (El lagarto y la lagartija – The Lizard and the Lady Bug).

¿Qué es Canta y Baila Conmigo®?

Canta y Baila Conmigo® es una clase de música para niños hasta los 5 años de edad acompañados por un adulto. Esta clase está diseñada para fomentar tanto el desarrollo del idioma español como la destreza cultural de los niños a través de canciones infantiles y música tradicional de España y Latinoamérica. Es ideal para familias bilingües que buscan un ámbito auténtico donde compartir en español con sus niños así como con otros miembros de la comunidad hispanoparlante. 

Esta colección nos lleva a un mundo maravilloso de cuentos y aventuras. Cantaremos sobre animales simpáticos, sobre montañas y ríos, y sobre el sol. Viajaremos encoche y en barco pirata. Comeremos ensalada, naranjas y plátanos con arroz. Invitaremos a nuestros amigos a caminar, cantar, y bailar canciones tradicionales infantiles (Arroz con leche), canciones de conceptos (Digo sí, digo no), canciones para estimular imaginación (Mi lindo globito), canciones folklóricas (Cielito lindo), canciones para bailar (Mi pollera), rimas, (El oso goloso), y canciones de cuna (El lagarto y la lagartija).
