ACMS Community Programs

We Are The Chorus

We Are the Chorus was founded in 1999 by parents of young adults with disabilities and has been going strong with its original members, as well as some newcomers, ever since. Rehearsals are once a week on Mondays during the school year, 7-8pm, at Violet Crown City Church. This group rehearses like a formal choir and members present a Fall concert and Spring Musical each year.

We Are The Chorus, Too

We Are the Chorus, Too! was founded in 2018 for teens and young adults with disabilities. Unlike We Are the Chorus, this group is an informal gathering of young people and their families to sing popular songs together. We Are the Chorus, Too! meets once a week on Mondays during the school year, 7-8pm, at ACMS for a faculty led singalong. New members can join at any time. While this group doesn’t typically present formal public performances, performance opportunities do sometimes arise in our community.
